About this role
Role Overview
Take full HR ownership for our locations in South Africa, serving as the trusted point of contact for managers and employees alike
Lead and execute all core HR processes including qualification, compensation planning, and boosting employee engagement
Implement Schaeffler’s People Strategy in the country
Champion HR projects and roll out advanced systems and tools in collaboration with central teams
Deliver excellent operational HR services
Manage strong relationships with local trade unions
Represent the company at external labor relations structures including Bargaining Councils, Steel & Engineering Industries Federation of Southern Africa and Eastern Cape Engineering & Allied Industries Association
Drive Employment Equity (EE) initiatives as the assigned EE Manager, ensuring continuous progress and compliance
Ensure compliance within risk management, governance frameworks, and company policies
Act as active change agent helping transform and evolve the organization
Lead and develop a motivated HR team to achieve their full potential
Requirements
University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a comparable field
Several years of hands-on HR experience, preferably within an industrial environment
Proven leadership skills and experience managing teams
State of the art HR knowledge
Sound knowledge of labor law
Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, SuccessFactors, and payroll systems
Fluent in English, both spoken and written
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills combined with deep change management expertise
Strong analytical and conceptual thinking abilities
High personal responsibility, adaptability, and flexibility
