Supporting marketing and business development initiatives for the Alberta and B.C. market, including coordinating with partners and stakeholders, tracking initiatives, managing calendars, and following up on action items.
Providing day-to-day administrative and operational support for marketing and business development activities, working closely with the Specialist, Business Development, Senior Manager, Business Development, and other Clients & Markets Leads.
Maintaining and updating Client Connect (CRM), including entering contacts, tracking client activity, and supporting business development plans and reporting.
Assisting with the coordination and fulfillment of industry sponsorships, including preparing and submitting materials, tracking deliverables, and supporting sponsorship agreements.
Vetting, preparing, and managing mailing lists, including all associated administrative coordination.
Supporting the planning and execution of conferences and client and sporting events, including ticket coordination, attendee tracking, and on-site event support.
Submitting invoices for payment and processing expense reconciliations, including corporate card (Mastercard) remittances.
Updating and maintaining marketing materials to ensure accuracy and alignment with firm messaging.
Gathering basic client, prospect, and industry information with support from internal research teams.
Providing general administrative and project support to the Marketing and Business Development team, as required.
Requirements
Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
Two years of relevant experience, preferably in a professional or legal services firm
Strong communication skills, including business writing skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities, and accommodate rush requests
Ability to complete designated tasks in a systematic and logical way with a great attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines
Team player and go-getter who can work under little supervision
Self-starter attitude, with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
Proven ability to communicate effectively, in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a professional exterior.
Excellent organizational skills.
Proficiency with MS Office suite; ability to quickly learn and leverage new technology solutions.
Experience working with Salesforce and SharePoint an asset.
Excellent word processing, spelling, grammar, editing and proof-reading skills.
Flexibility to work occasional overtime to support events outside of regular working hours.
