creating and updating risk assessments and safe systems of work
progressing and managing technical projects associated with new and emerging technologies and practices
contributing to changes which improve Zurich’s business proposition whilst managing risk
providing field-based Engineer Surveyors with technical support to facilitate safe and effective inspections and thorough examinations
providing clients with technical expertise and building relationships
conducting technical audits
supporting internal and external accreditation activities
conducting technical investigations
coaching and mentoring of trainee Engineers
supporting the technical development and CPD of Engineers through the creation and delivery of training material.
Requirements
qualified to at least HNC (level 4) or degree level in a relevant engineering field
experience in the maintenance, design, installation or testing of electrical, LEV, or lifting equipment
good experience of the engineering inspection industry working at the level of (or equivalent to) a level 2 engineer surveyor as set out in the SAFed guidance SS01
registered with the Engineering Council at least EngTech level
can provide at least 2 years CPD records (minimum of 30 hours/year)
has an understanding of the legislation and standards associated with the discipline
has appreciation and knowledge of ISO 17020
can work remotely and within a team environment effectively.
has a full valid UK driving licence and can travel to carry out their duties.
