Requirements
8+ years of deep, hands-on Workday HCM configuration experience across complex, global tenants.
A strategic mindset: you come with informed opinions grounded in best practices, push back when requests would create technical debt, and shape the roadmap rather than waiting to be assigned work.
Demonstrated ability to plan and lead projects to completion.
Demonstrated experience in high-stakes delivery such as M&A, new entity builds, or major org restructuring where you've owned the technical workstream from due diligence through stabilization.
Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with a track record of elevating partners and resolving complex technical issues.
Deep fluency in Workday's data model, security architecture, and business process framework.
Comfortable in the integrations layer: you know the difference between EIBs, Studio, Orchestrate, Core Connectors, and APIs, can read logs, and can triage issues independently without being an integrations developer.
Actively use AI in your day-to-day workflow like utilising Workato AI agents, Zapier, Claude LLMs, or equivalent tools not as a novelty but as a genuine multiplier for how you research, design, document, and solve problems.
Strong documentation instincts and communication skills: you can explain complex configuration decisions to both engineers and executives, and you know that if it isn't written down, it didn't happen.
