Prepare internal credit ratings & reviews for FIG/corporate clients, ensuring full compliance with the Bank’s credit policies, principles, lending direction, and approval guidelines.
Assess creditworthiness on an ongoing basis, including ability to meet obligations; monitor performance, sector/market developments and adverse news, and proactively flag issues with recommended risk actions.
Own end-to-end credit work for new/renewal deals, gather requirements, analyse financials, perform due diligence, identify key risks, propose mitigants/conditions/covenants, and produce high-quality credit submissions for approval.
Engage clients directly (RM element) via calls/meetings/site visits where needed to obtain financial statements, clarify business/funding model, validate transaction rationale, and support information requests and timelines.
Drive deal execution with internal stakeholders to ensure timely approvals, smooth documentation, booking, and adherence to process governance.
Support relationship and wallet management (RM element) by contributing to account planning and solutioning
E.g., structure recommendations, risk-return framing, and identifying suitable product opportunities within risk appetite.
Maintain portfolio health and discipline, ensuring strong monitoring, timely annual/periodic reviews, covenant/conditions tracking, and zero overdue reviews.
Requirements
6–8 years of relevant banking experience in credit analysis, corporate banking, or FIG coverage with demonstrated ownership of credit papers and deal execution.
Experience handling Government entities / Public Sector / GLC / Sovereign-linked clients is highly preferred; exposure to MOF-related/statutory funds/SWFs will be a strong advantage.
Strong grounding in credit assessment
financial analysis, risk identification, covenant/structure recommendation, and ability to articulate risks/mitigants clearly in credit submissions.
Comfortable engaging senior client stakeholders to obtain information, clarify requirements, and manage documentation/approval timelines professionally.
