About this role
Role Overview
Development and closing of new business opportunities for Phase III and commercial projects in the assigned territory (U.S. & Europe)
Take ownership of projects and be accountable for their success (managed by a project manager)
Drive growth in contract manufacturing sales for services from Ravensburg, Germany
Support customers through to the handover to the Account Management team after product launch
Identify and qualify prospective companies in the territory (U.S. & Europe)
Collaborate closely with the Early Stage team on transfers and molecule strategies early in the process
Work with the Early Stage team to define territory strategy for events and other marketing activities
Prepare proposals
Facilitate and negotiate CDAs, development and supply agreements
Promote Vetter via social media, industry associations and trade shows
Conduct customer visits in Germany
Reach out to biotech/pharma companies and follow up on leads
Maintain the lead database
Develop new business opportunities and demonstrate customer engagement
Build relationships with all relevant biotech stakeholders in your territory (consultants, cluster organizations, investors, KOLs)
Seek new networking channels
Attend/speak at trade fairs and industry events
Respond to 80% of customer inquiries within Late Stage NBD without SMEs
Manage active customer account governance without VP escalation
Assign additional tasks as needed
Requirements
Willingness to work at our U.S. site for three years after one year at the Ravensburg location
Degree in a technical or scientific subject (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) in applied sciences or engineering; 2+ years of sales experience preferred
MBA preferred
Experience in aseptic pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging desirable
Knowledge of CDMO requirements
English language skills required, German fluent (for Ravensburg colleagues); German not required for U.S. colleagues
