Senior Project Engineer

Role Overview

• Provides engineering leadership to multiple teams to ensure thoughtful strategic planning, development of objective statements of work, scheduling of work and estimating
• Supports the development of strategic roadmaps and associated long-range business planning and financial requests
• Partners proactively with management and technical leads to establish resource requirements
• Proposes and implements operating models and rhythms appropriate for each scope of work, team composition, and commitments in coordination with leadership objectives and guidance
• Coaches and mentors teams in agile, SaFE and other project methods
• Facilitates the execution of each project in partnership with management and technical leads, ensuring fulfilled commitments and successful transitions
• Supports management and technical leads in the execution of technical and financial performance to plan, with performance metrics and implementing continuous improvements
• Supports management and technical leads in the management of project risk, issues, and opportunities
• Maintains project status and reporting materials for leadership and financial stakeholders
• Drives ideation and implementation of process improvements
• Prepares and presents program status, assessments, corrective actions, and recommendations to program and Boeing leadership; uses KPIs and analytics to drive improvement
• Helps manage and maintain project documentation
• Helps manage and maintain project access and tool access permissions and access control policies
• Helps manage and maintain team rosters, DLs, and access control groups

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
• Level 4: 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience in systems design and/or systems analysis and/or systems integration
• Experience working with complex engineering activities
• Experience developing & maintaining relationships & partnerships with senior executives and stakeholders
• Level 5: 14+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred)
• Good verbal and written communication skills, with ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders (preferred)
