Focus on developing new projects and initiatives to support the launch of the Stowmarket Innovation Gateway and drive sustainable business growth across the region.
Responsible for moving ideas and concepts through feasibility, business case and delivery stages.
Influencing budgets, driving the development of marketing campaigns, and providing regular progress reports for the SIG Board, Innovation Board, Skills Board and Freeport East Board.
Promote innovation and new technologies to encourage the growth of higher skilled and paid employment.
Manage sector specific networks and coordinate/develop the Council’s involvement in networking events such as the Suffolk AI Awards.
Requirements
Experience of operating at a senior level with businesses of all sizes
Experience of working with Higher Education and Further Education organisations at Pro-Vice Chancellor level
Ability to work with a wide range of partners, consultants and stakeholders at a senior level
Evidence of working with funders to secure significant capital and revenue investment
Strong communication and negotiating skills
Ability to work on own initiative and act independently to deliver council outcomes
Ability to understand and adhere to confidentiality as required in certain circumstances
Experience of managing programme budgets and risk
