Role Overview
Lead the Accounting department (10 FTE)
Operational and disciplinary leadership of the accounting team (general ledger and sub-ledger)
Define and ensure compliance with accounting standards
Prepare and support the harmonization and development of monthly and quarterly financial statements under HGB and IFRS, including balance sheet, P&L and cash flow
Responsible for the timely preparation of annual financial statements under HGB and IFRS
Close collaboration with other departments
Further development and optimization of relevant accounting systems and processes
Point of contact for auditors and tax advisors
Requirements
Degree in Business Administration / Finance or a comparable qualification, including further training focused on accounting
Strong proficiency in preparing financial statements according to HGB and IFRS
Several years of professional experience in accounting
Experience in leading and developing staff
Solid English skills (minimum B2) written and spoken
Interest and/or experience in process optimization and change management
High level of responsibility, strong conceptual skills and service orientation
Ideally: experience with SAP R/3 and/or SAP S/4 HANA
