Oversee the daily fund accounting operations, including the preparation and review of financial statements and reports
Manage and mentor a team of fund accountants, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
Ensure timely reconciliation of cash, positions, and other transactional data, identifying and resolving discrepancies as they arise
Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
Implement and maintain robust accounting policies and procedures that enhance operational efficiency and compliance
Support the development of automated solutions to streamline accounting processes and reporting
Provide insightful financial analysis and reporting to senior management, highlighting key metrics and trends

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
5+ years of experience in fund accounting and taxation, preferably within an asset management or financial services environment
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, including GAAP and IFRS and Canadian Income Tax Act
Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools, with advanced Excel skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to work independently
Master's degree in Accounting or Finance, or relevant certifications (e.g., CPA or CFA) preferred
Experience with fund administration systems and data analytics tools preferred
Strong understanding of investment products and financial markets preferred
