Lead and manage environmental assessment and remediation projects from scoping through execution and closure, including Phase I and II ESAs, site characterization, remedial investigations, and remedial actions
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, regulators, subcontractors, and internal project teams
Prepare and review technical reports, work plans, proposals, and cost estimates, ensuring accuracy, quality, and regulatory compliance
Manage project budgets, schedules, and financial performance, including forecasting, invoicing support, and scope management
Coordinate and oversee field activities, including environmental sampling, monitoring, and contractor oversight
Navigate and manage permitting and regulatory coordination with DTSC, Regional Water Quality Control Boards, and other California agencies
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level staff, supporting professional development and quality project delivery
Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation, client relationship management, and identification of repeat and follow-on work
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated environmental solutions for clients across Southern California
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, or a related field
Licensed Professional Geologist or Professional Engineer in CA
Minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental consulting, including site investigation, assessment, and remediation
5+ years of project management experience with demonstrated responsibility for scope, schedule, and budget
Strong working knowledge of California environmental regulations, including DTSC programs, Regional Water Boards, and CEQA
Experience with ASTM/AAI transactional due diligence (Phase I and II ESAs) and/or initial site assessments for environmental planning
Demonstrated expertise in site characterization, environmental sampling methodologies (soil, groundwater, soil vapor, indoor air, sediment), and data interpretation
Groundwater contamination investigation and modeling preferred
Proven ability to manage staff, subcontractors, and client relationships effectively
Strong technical writing and communication skills
Experience supporting or leading proposal development and client pursuits.
