About this role
Role Overview
- Administration and maintenance of firewalls:
- Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer)
- Cisco Secure Firewall (ASA, FTD, FMC)
- Palo Alto Networks (PAN-OS, Panorama)
- Implementation and review of security policies (L3–L7), NAT, ACLs, and VPN (IPsec and SSL VPN).
- Configuration and troubleshooting of IPS, IDS, Application Control, URL Filtering, and SSL Inspection.
- Administration and maintenance of Cisco ISE (AAA, 802.1X, MAB, TACACS+, RADIUS).
- Implementation of Network Access Control (NAC) with dynamic segmentation.
- Integration of Cisco ISE with Active Directory.
- Firewall rule management with a focus on risk reduction and compliance.
- Security log analysis and network incident troubleshooting.
- Support for technical audits and preparation of compliance reports.
- Technical documentation, operational playbooks, and security procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience with:
- Fortinet (FortiGate, SD-WAN, Security Fabric)
- Cisco ASA / FTD / FMC
- Palo Alto (PAN-OS, Panorama)
- Cisco ISE (Policy Sets, Profiling, Posture; TrustSec is a plus)
- Strong knowledge of:
- Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)
- VLANs, STP, ACLs
- NAT and network segmentation
- Experience with site-to-site and remote access VPNs.
- Technical skills:
- Traffic analysis (Packet Capture, Wireshark, TCPDump)
- Segmentation and identity-based access control.
- Advanced troubleshooting of connectivity and security policies.
- Good analytical skills and experience handling incident scenarios.
- Certifications:
- Fortinet NSE 4/5/7
- Cisco CCNA / CCNP Security
- Cisco ISE
- Palo Alto PCNSE
- Additional experience:
- Large-scale NAC implementations
- Segmentation projects with Cisco TrustSec
- Experience with high-availability (HA) environments
