As part of the Bordeaux office and reporting directly to the National Development Director, the Business Development Representative’s mission is to open doors!
You are the company’s first face (or first voice).
The role is to identify clients and their needs and to secure meetings so we can support them with their projects.
Market monitoring: Follow local companies’ news (who is relocating? who is expanding? who is establishing operations?).
Know the offerings: Review what other agencies provide to understand how we differentiate.
Identify projects: Stay informed about new buildings or offices under construction in your area.
Sourcing: Find the decision-makers in the companies we target.
Spot companies that are hiring or have recently raised funds, as they will soon need new premises.
Database management: Create and maintain a clean, well-organized list of prospects in our internal software.
Plan your activities to know who to contact and when.
Prospecting: Contact companies by phone or email to present our services.
Use LinkedIn to connect with executives professionally.
Be active in the field: attend networking evenings, business breakfasts or trade shows to meet clients face-to-face.
Requirements
Degree in a business field (equivalent to 2–3 years of higher education) or proven initial experience in sales/customer relations.
You enjoy talking to people, persuading others, and you are not afraid to pick up the phone.
You are persistent.
You can prioritize tasks and keep your files up to date with rigor.
You are eager to learn a new profession and to understand how companies in your region operate.
