Role Overview
- Coordinate and facilitate data management initiatives across business, analytics, and engineering teams
- Support the establishment of data ownership and stewardship frameworks
- Track governance initiatives, action items, and adoption progress
- Coordinate updates and assist in maintaining the business glossary, data catalog entries, and dataset documentation in collaboration with data owners and domain experts
- Support documentation of dataset definitions, lineage, and ownership
- Assist in defining governance practices for core entities such as Customer, Account, and Product
- Coordinate with system owners to improve consistency across systems
- Organize governance workshops and working sessions with stakeholders.
- Develop documentation and governance playbooks
- Assist in promoting adoption of data management tools and practices across teams
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI tools and automation to improve metadata documentation, governance workflows, and operational efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s and/or Masters Degree in related field
- 4–7 years of experience in data governance, analytics, data management, or related roles
- Experience working with metadata management, data catalogs, or governance initiatives
- Familiarity with metadata management, lineage, and data catalog concepts
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to operationalize metadata management, business glossary, or data governance processes
- Understanding of data warehouses, BI platforms, and reporting workflows
- Basic SQL skills to support data validation and analysis when needed
- Strong coordination, stakeholder management, and communication skills
Additional/Bonus Experience:
- Experience with Collate, Open Metadata, Snowflake, Power BI, or modern analytics platforms
- Experience leveraging AI tools or automation frameworks to improve data documentation, metadata enrichment, or operational workflows
