About this role
Role Overview
Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of systems acquisition and program management principles, policies, and practices (DoDI 5000.02, AFI 63-101/20-101) and of DoD/USAF roles and relationships.
Apply qualitative and quantitative techniques to gather, analyze, and measure the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of acquisition, sustainment, or modification programs.
Assess programs against schedule and cost baselines; recommend viable solutions and alternative courses of action.
Communicate effectively orally and in writing; prepare high-quality acquisition and program documentation (briefings, documents, plans).
Plan, research, analyze, and assess system acquisition across development, production, deployment, and sustainment; formulate plans and recommend strategies to meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
Develop and support acquisition and sustainment reports, including statutory and regulatory reports (e.g., DAES, MAR).
Support program management reviews, senior-level meetings/reviews, and IMP/IMS reviews.
Prepare briefings and schedules summarizing program status and acquisition tasks for senior management.
Understand different funding types, budgets, and the Central Asset Management (CAM) process.
Requirements
Must be a US citizen
Must have and be able to maintain a Secret level clearance
Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
12 years of experience with DoD acquisition programs
Comprehensive knowledge of principles, policies, and practices of systems acquisition and program management, as defined in DoDI 5000.02
Operation of the Adaptive Acquisition Framework, AFI 63-101/20-101
Strong working Knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Office Suite software and project management/scheduling applications such as MS Project
