Liability Trial Attorney

Role Overview

• Represent the commercial insureds of a prestigious and financially stable commercial insurance carrier
• Prepare and try moderate to high complexity General Liability and Commercial Auto personal injury cases
• Perform duties encompassing all aspects of insurance defense
• Conduct initial investigation and legal analysis and advice
• Prepare and file legal pleadings and documents
• Conduct pre-trial discovery and hearings
• Handle trials and post-trial activities

Requirements

• Juris Doctor
• 5 or more years of experience in the Insurance Litigation area
• Active member in good standing with the Maryland and District of Columbia Bar Associations
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe
• Experience working with Lexis or Westlaw
• Knowledge of the insurance industry, claims and the insurance defense litigation legal environment
• Knowledge of the law and procedure
