About this role
Role Overview
- Design, develop and maintain scalable backend systems using Java 17/21 and Spring Boot.
- Implement and evolve REST and gRPC APIs, ensuring versioning and best practices.
- Work on microservices architecture, messaging (Kafka/ActiveMQ) and integration with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB).
- Ensure application security (OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, RBAC) and apply secure coding practices.
- Perform troubleshooting, log analysis and root-cause identification in distributed environments.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and mentor less experienced developers.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, ArgoCD, Tekton) and GitOps practices.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (DevOps, QA, Product) in an agile environment.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Java (17 or 21) and Spring Boot in production.
- Proven experience with microservices, REST APIs, messaging (Kafka/ActiveMQ).
- Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB).
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes (GKE/OpenShift) and observability tools (Datadog, Kibana, New Relic).
- Advanced knowledge of backend application security.
- Experience with automated testing (JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber).
- Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
- Excellent communication, proactivity and technical leadership skills.
