About this role
Role Overview
Provides assistance in management and monitoring of outstanding accounts
Training and performance evaluations of central billing office personnel
Monitoring adherence to department policies and guidelines by regular audits
Oversees operation of the internal system
creating, assigning and maintaining PCS queues
Facilitates documentation and files of all meetings and operational decisions
Supervises billing office functions such as patient admission, interview process, collection of demographics, insurance information, payment arrangements
Coordinates distribution of periodic statements, invoices and other documents
Ensures documentation of all policies and procedures by all subordinate personnel
Assists in monitoring outstanding account balances for the commercial insurance area
Provides backup for billing staff during peak times, vacations, and illnesses
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Medical Insurance Collection And Supervision (4 Years)
No specific certification/professional license required
