You'll oversee a highly complex invoicing process, where attention to detail and the ability to navigate challenging scenarios are essential.
You’ll develop and enforce well-maintained financial documents, policies, systems, and internal controls ensuring compliance with provincial and federal regulations.
You’ll prepare timely financial statements, reports, and cost-benefit analyses, including year-to-date actuals, forecasts, and variance explanations
on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
You'll evaluate marketing and channel performance through a financial lens
analyzing CAC, LTV, revenue per user, and ROI across SEO, paid media, and affiliate networks
translating data into clear, actionable recommendations that drive conversion and revenue growth.
You'll work with analytics and data visualization tools, alongside core financial platforms to extract insights, identify trends, and surface the data that matters most to the business.
You'll own the end-to-end financial operations of the GeniusCash rewards program
including weekly fulfillment validation and payment processing with the Customer Service team, fraud investigation, and reconciliation of manual approvals.
You’ll collaborate with the Sr. Finance Manager and other members of the senior leadership team to develop and implement financial strategies that align with and support the company’s objectives.
You'll connect the dots between financial results and company initiatives across all of our core teams to bolster positive revenue trends and short circuit negative ones.
You'll investigate and respond to all finance and accounting inquiries promptly and accurately.
You’ll oversee payroll, manage time-off tracking, and maintain process documentation, along with supporting a range of related operational tasks.
You’ll ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax planning and filing.
You'll work closely with external contractors, clients, and affiliate partners.
You'll support stretch projects and assist the team as needed.

Requirements
You live in Atlantic Canada, and are legally eligible to work in Canada.
You have a minimum of 3 years experience working in a finance and accounting role within a tech startup, or fast-growing company environment, especially in Fintech and/or a B2C business
and you bring strong data analysis skills with proven experience across a range of data visualization and reporting tools.
You have a BA in finance, business administration, accounting, or a related field
or relevant professional experience.
You have a CPA designation, are working towards one, or you have relevant hands-on experience that demonstrates equivalent financial acumen.
You have strong knowledge of federal and provincial laws, regulations, and ordinances pertaining to finance and accounting best practices.
You're proficient in QuickBooks Online and highly capable with spreadsheets and financial modeling tools.
You bring strong data analysis skills with proven experience using data visualization and reporting tools.
