Gather, analyze, document, and validate the functionality of existing applications/functions within the business and identify opportunities for enhancements.
Facilitate meetings, workshops, and discussions with business stakeholders and SMEs.
Work with Product Owner(s) and UX Designer(s) to create process maps, workflow diagrams, and supporting documentation as needed.
Perform data analysis to support decision making and solution design, if necessary.
Support testing activities including test case development, user acceptance testing (UAT), and defect triage.
Partner closely with business SMEs to elicit and refine detailed functional and non-functional requirements for application enhancements.
Write clear, concise, and comprehensive Agile user stories and acceptance criteria.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
Explain and clarify user stories to software engineers during refinement sessions to ensure shared understanding.
Collaborate with Product Owners to prioritize the backlog based on business value and dependencies.
Work with engineering teams to ensure stories are fully understood and ready for development.
Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ensure requirements are aligned with strategic goals, operational needs, and technical constraints.
Support change management activities by contributing to training materials, communications, and rollout planning, where necessary.
Requirements
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or similar role.
Strong ability to gather and translate business needs into technical requirements.
Demonstrated experience writing Agile user stories and acceptance criteria.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
Ability to quickly understand domain complexity and align efforts to broader business and technical goals.
