Monitor and identify changes in accounting laws and standards (CPC/IFRS) by performing technical impact analyses on operations, ensuring updates to the company's accounting policies and mitigating non-compliance risks.
Coordinate responses to external and internal audits by organizing schedules, validating working papers, and providing technical answers, aiming for unqualified opinions on the individual financial statements.
Coordinate the execution of recoverability tests (impairment) and revaluation of fixed assets by analyzing market indicators and cash flow projections, ensuring that the recoverable amount of assets is accurately reflected on the balance sheet.
Document and review accounting processes and procedures affected by regulatory changes by preparing and maintaining monthly internal controls, ensuring compliance with internal processes and policies, and promoting standardization and operational security.
Validate and supervise complex accounting adjustments by reviewing calculation support and documentary evidence, ensuring correct representation of the economic reality in the accounting records.
Oversee fixed asset management, including monitoring construction in progress and closing investment orders, by technically validating accounting classification to ensure the accuracy of non-current assets.
Advise the team and business areas on complex accounting matters through training and internal consulting, promoting a culture of compliance and excellence in accounting records.
Coordinate and lead the monthly and annual accounting close process, including provisions, reconciliations, intercompany, payroll, IFRS 16, CAPEX, and equity equivalence.
Manage accounting projects, ensuring completion with the planned quality, timing, and costs.
Coordinate and ensure delivery of statutory filings (annual ECD) and external information (CBE, institutional surveys).
Lead impairment testing, asset revaluation processes, and provide technical support to external audit, acting as a steward of accounting policies.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
Solid experience in corporate/managerial accounting in large companies or audit consultancies.
Experience with consolidation processes and preparation of explanatory notes.
Experience leading accounting teams in high-complexity environments.
Advanced proficiency in SAP FI module (AA
Asset Accounting, GL
General Ledger).
Deep knowledge of IFRS and CPCs (Brazilian standards).
Active registration with the Regional Accounting Council (CRC).
Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
Postgraduate degree, specialization, or MBA in International Accounting (IFRS) or Controllership (desirable).
Awareness of tax impacts (IRPJ/CSLL) arising from corporate adjustments (desirable).
Intermediate English (desired).
