Veterinarian – Area Chief of Staff

Role Overview

• Lead, develop and manage associate veterinarians in hospitals.
• Ensure quality care delivery and hospital performance measures.
• Drive the culture of quality care in veterinary provider teams.
• Act as Responsible Veterinarian for permits as required by law.
• Validate clinical skillset of doctors and team through assessments.
• Provide effective medical leadership and inclusive work environment.
• Coach newly hired veterinarians for engaging experience.
• Partner with directors for talent acquisition and recruitment.
• Deliver KPI's of assigned hospitals through effective leadership.
• Manage client complaints related to medical standards of care.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent foreign degree required.
• Veterinary license in good standing or eligibility for licensure with all applicable state veterinary boards for assigned hospitals.
• 3 years of experience in small animal medicine and surgery practice.
