About this role
Role Overview
Design the end-to-end quote lifecycle: qualification → configuration → pricing → approval → closure.
Become an expert in DealCloud and opportunity-to-quote workflows.
Define integration architecture between DealCloud, CPQ tools, and downstream billing/contract systems.
Establish dashboards and reporting to track pipeline, conversion, and approval bottlenecks.
Develop and maintain solution documentation and design standards.
Own quote approval hierarchies, discount governance, and pricing strategy implementation.
Design and enforce data validation rules, stage progression logic, and audit trails across the opportunity lifecycle.
Establish best practices around change management, solution governance, and release coordination.
Partner with business stakeholders (Sales, Finance, Revenue Ops) to translate needs into technical requirements.
Deliver training and documentation to support teams and end-users.
Proactively identify future capability needs and propose iterative solutions.
Work with Integration and Data Solutions teams to address technical dependencies.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of relevant work experience.
5+ years of systems-facing work with demonstrated progression.
2+ years specifically in CRM configuration and solution architecture.
Understanding of how business processes map to system design.
Hands-on experience with Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or comparable CRM.
Real exposure to CPQ tools (DealHub, Salesforce CPQ, Conga preferred).
Deep understanding of sales cycle processes: opportunity qualification → quote generation → deal closure.
Ability to design system architecture across multiple platforms.
Comfort with data flow, integration patterns, and reporting requirements.
Experience working with revenue operations, sales operations, or finance teams.
Strategic communicator who translates between business and technical teams.
Strong documentation practices and attention to change management.
Problem-solver who thinks proactively about future needs.
Listener who asks good questions and validates requirements before designing.
