Lead the strategy, organization, and technical execution of the robotics foundation model team
Define the roadmap for robotic foundation model efforts and guide the pipeline from data to deployment
Ensure the team delivers models that are reliable and scalable in real operational environments
Collaborate with AI, robotics, teleoperation, controls, hardware, and product teams to translate business goals into a technical strategy
Own the technical direction for robotic foundation models and guide architecture decisions
Define data strategy for teleoperation and robot-operation data
Oversee pipelines transforming raw multimodal data into training-ready datasets
Lead deployment of trained models onto embedded and edge platforms
Define evaluation frameworks for model quality and operational robustness
Act as the company’s technical leader and represent the team in discussions with partners and vendors

Proven experience leading or managing high-performing ML, robotics AI, or multimodal foundation model teams
Strong track record of taking advanced AI or robotics systems from research or prototype stage into reliable real-world operation
Experience owning team execution, technical direction, prioritization, and stakeholder alignment for complex engineering programs
Demonstrated ability to lead in environments where both deep technical contribution and strong management are required
Deep expertise in designing, training, and evaluating large-scale multimodal models
Strong understanding of modern training paradigms and robotics software stacks
Experience with embedded or edge AI deployment platforms
Strong experience building data pipelines and training systems for complex multimodal datasets
Solid understanding of high-level model decisions interact with low-level robot execution
Strong communication skills in English; Japanese proficiency is a plus.
