Provide onsite and oncall system administration and operational support for multiple mission systems at Cheyenne Mountain.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and system performance issues affecting mission operations.
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, including applying patches, updates, configuration changes, and performance tuning.
Provide user support and training for system access, basic operations, and issue resolution.
Collect, maintain, and update operational logs, incident and deficiency reports, and checklists in accordance with program and security standards.
Perform incident response, including initial triage, escalation, coordination with higher-tier support, and closure documentation.
Execute backup and restore operations to ensure data integrity, availability, and continuity of operations.
Support system administration and basic database support tasks as needed to maintain operational environments.
Oversee procedural compliance and ensure all records, logs, and reports meet required operational, security, and audit standards.
Act as a technical resource for performance optimization, data integrity, role continuity, and support to management status reporting.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field, OR Equivalent DoD/Military training in systems administration, network operations, or a related technical discipline.
4–6 years of relevant experience in systems or network administration, systems support, or similar technical roles in secure, mission-critical (DoD or similar) environments.
Expertise in system administration and troubleshooting to support multiple mission systems.
Strong skills in preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure system availability and operational readiness.
Experience providing responsive user support and training.
Proficiency in managing process documentation, operational logs, and incident/deficiency reports.
Experience supporting incident response, backup/restore, and documentation activities in accordance with established procedures.
Ability to support performance optimization efforts and oversee compliance with procedural and documentation standards.
Minimum: Active TS/SCI clearance required to start.
Holds a DoD 8140 qualifying certification; one or more of the following (or equivalent) is required/preferred: – Cloud+ – GSEC – Security+ – SSCP
