About this role
Role Overview
Support preparing reinsurance pricing models and performing analysis for flow and block reinsurance transactions
Enhance processes by developing and automating tools to be used at various stages of pricing and analysis
Perform sensitivity analysis and product feature testing; summarize and communicate findings in a precise and organized manner to the broader team
Support due diligence process including but not limited to actuarial appraisals, experience studies, seriatim data, etc.
Lead (or support) the modeling and analysis in more technical and complicated projects
Support reinsurance audit
Continuously challenge the status quo and stay abreast of regulatory changes that will affect reinsurance decision
Liaison with broader actuarial function, including but not limited to actuarial pricing, product development and valuation teams
Peer review team members’ work
Demonstrate a continued desire to learn and develop as a key member of the team
Other ad-hoc tasks as they arise
Utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI)
Requirements
Four-year degree required in actuarial science, math, physics, economics, engineering, or related field
4+ SOA exams passed
4+ years relevant experience, working directly for a life/annuity (re)insurance company, or consulting firm
Proficiency in MS Excel, Access, VBA
Experience programming in SQL, R preferred
Experience in annuity product development/pricing, AAT, PBR, is a plus
Experience in reinsurance preferred
Broad business acumen, with ability to manage multiple diverse projects simultaneously
High adaptability and agility in a dynamic environment
You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
