Product Design Director – Design Operations

Role Overview

• Collaborate with design leadership on AI transformation efforts
• Oversee the design systems team and manage governance, adoption, and consistent implementation across products
• Build workflow automation and operational infrastructure that reduces friction and increases velocity
• Set telemetry strategy to measure feature adoption, user behavior, and experience quality
• Improve research ops infrastructure, including panels, repositories, tooling, and workflows that make user insights accessible at scale
• Own hiring and onboarding infrastructure, ensuring we're bringing in the right people and filling skills gaps effectively
• Build, run, and improve our learning and development programs, career growth frameworks, and mentorship pathways
• Evaluate and optimize the design tooling ecosystem, managing vendor relationships and technology investments

Requirements

• 5+ years in design operations or a related leadership role
• 3+ years of people management experience
• Strong cross-functional partnership and alignment skills
• Data-informed approach to decision-making and performance measurement
• Outstanding communication skills across all levels of the org
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Ability to work from a US office 2+ days per week
