Independently oversee and perform general ledger accounting
Ensure proper closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations and accruals
Handle and support VAT, banking and treasury matters
Maintain and reconcile general ledger and subledger accounts
Work closely with Tax, Controlling, auditors, banks and internal departments
Serve as the point of contact for technical queries and coordination-related topics
Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives in accounting
Support the ongoing development of accounting policies and processes
Requirements
Completed commercial vocational training, ideally with further qualification as a Bilanzbuchhalter (certified accountant), or a degree in economics/business administration or a comparable qualification with a focus on accounting/finance
Several years of professional experience (minimum 4 years) in accounting, ideally in a comparable role
Solid knowledge in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)
Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, and experienced with ERP systems and accounting software
Analytical and structured working style with strong numerical affinity and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated, responsible and reliable with a meticulous approach to work
Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
