You take full responsibility for your assigned areas (e.g., receivables management, accounts receivable, monthly VAT filings)
You independently prepare year-end accounting entries and reconciliations, significantly contributing to the quality of our financial reporting
Accounts Payable: You handle the posting and reconciliations of vendor invoices and employee travel expense reports
Accounts Receivable: You have full ownership of our accounts receivable — from invoicing in Chargebee through managing open items in NetSuite to direct customer communication regarding invoice enquiries and dunning
You perform bank postings and reconciliations
You actively drive the development of processes and standards within the accounting function
You proactively communicate with internal and external stakeholders about results, risks, and questions related to product billing
Requirements
You hold a degree with a focus on accounting/finance or a commercial qualification (e.g., tax clerk or industrial clerk with an additional qualification as a certified balance sheet accountant)
You have at least 5 years of professional experience in (group) accounting, auditing, or tax consulting
You possess very good accounting knowledge (in particular under HGB/German GAAP) as well as solid expertise in accounting, ERP/ledger systems (ideally Oracle NetSuite) and Excel
You work accurately, in a structured and conscientious manner, and demonstrate perseverance, a strong sense of responsibility, and effective time and self-management
You communicate clearly and can effectively pass on your knowledge to others
You have a strong hands-on mentality and a positive approach to change and shifting requirements in a dynamic environment
You have very good German language skills (our corporate language)
