IT Security & Compliance Intern

Role Overview

• Support compliance efforts (ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI, HIPAA)
• Maintain security policies, standards, and procedures
• Support internal audits and evidence collection
• Track compliance artifacts in GRC tools or spreadsheets
• Support reporting and security metrics
• Support vendor reviews and evaluations
• Perform security and compliance research
• Assist with risk assessments and documentation

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Informatics, or a related field
• Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good understanding of fundamental cybersecurity concepts and tools
• Familiarity with operating systems, networking, cloud, and cybersecurity technologies
• Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, HIPAA)
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn
