About this role
Role Overview
- You ensure the reliability of financial information and related analyses for the technical management of CMA CGM’s fleet vessels.
- You play an important role in supporting the activity in areas such as actual cost assessment and budgeting, assisting the fleet team in cost monitoring.
- Reporting directly to the Business Control Manager in France, you are responsible for monitoring the costs within your scope, which includes but is not limited to:
- Taking part in the monthly closing process
- Ensuring the accuracy of cost accounting
- Analyzing monthly variances between actuals and budget/forecast
- Analyzing the annual forecast
- Conducting a monthly financial review with the fleet team
- Preparing the monthly review summary for the Business Control Manager
- Providing support in the preparation of the budget and forecasts
- Participating in process and tool improvements
Requirements
- Degree in management control and/or finance
- At least 5 years of experience in management control
- Strong knowledge of accounting, particularly in transaction closing
- Good communication skills in English (spoken and written)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Power BI and Power Query is a plus
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Proactive, autonomous, and curious
