Role Overview
- Manage the overall customer credit risk portfolio
- Assess and approve new customer credit applications
- Review existing customer accounts regularly
- Identify high-risk accounts and recommend actions
- Partner with commercial and sales teams to support growth
- Produce dashboards, reports, and management information on credit risk
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of four direct reports
- Manage relationships with external credit insurers
- Drive continuous improvement in credit risk processes
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Credit Risk Manager, Credit Manager, or similar role
- Strong knowledge of trade credit risk, customer onboarding, credit assessments, and portfolio management
- Experience leading and developing teams across multiple locations
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial statements, payment behaviour, and market data
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
