Leidos is an industry and technology leader serving government and commercial customers, and they are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their National Airspace Systems Integration Support program. The role involves designing and planning electrical systems for FAA buildings, managing project engineering documents, and overseeing project management tasks related to electrical systems/services.
Responsibilities:
- Design and plan electrical systems for FAA buildings and structures, including power distribution and backup systems
- Develop, review, and manage project engineering documents, including AutoCAD drawings, specifications, and cost estimates
- Conduct on-site surveys and prepare detailed, scale designs and reports
- Collaborate with engineering staff to resolve design or implementation issues and review contractor submittals
- Oversee project management tasks, including safety plans, communication, scheduling, and coordination with stakeholders and contractors
- Monitor and update project progress, review risk management documents, and manage on-site cutovers and testing activities
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from a four-year accredited college or university and four years of relevant experience in commercial, industrial or government facility replacement and modernization design engineering OR two years of relevant experience with a Masters degree. An additional four years of relevant experience can be considered in lieu of degree
- Ability to obtain and maintain public trust suitability (To be eligible for the FAA Public Trust you must be a US Citizen or a Green Card Holder who has resided in the US for the past 3 years)
- Registered Professional Engineer in good standing in the United States
- Prior FAA experience
