Negotiate retail lease transactions, including incentives where applicable, on behalf of the client for lease renewals, relocations, and refurbishments
Negotiate rents within market levels and drive favorable portfolio outcomes for the Client
Meet all event deadlines in accordance with lease requirements and manage critical dates effectively
Develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures in consultation with the National Retail Leasing Director to ensure optimal client outcomes
Ensure database accuracy through effective liaison with the Lease Administration team and timely updates of leasing minutes, CPI, and fixed reviews
Prepare regular reports within specified timeframes, detailing property status and performance including recommendations on lease negotiations
Build and maintain key relationships with retail landlords and developers as the main point of contact for designated portfolio
Serve as primary contact point for lease queries and disputes, and provide commentary on monthly rent roll variances
Requirements
Current Real Estate License or Certificate of Registration
Tertiary qualification in Real Estate, Property, Business, Law or equivalent
At least 1 year of experience to transactional real estate, ideally in retail or commercial.
Sound and demonstrated negotiation skills, with proven capacity to understand and interpret retail contracts and leases
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to operate confidently in client-facing environments
Superior Excel skills with demonstrated ability to maintain and manage accurate data
High level of attention to detail, quality standards, client service and strategic thinking ability.
