Role Overview
Champion a proactive safety culture that prioritizes employee well-being and operational excellence.
Work with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS into all aspects of operations serving as a clear partner to the North America OM&U organization
Inspire and develop a high-performing EHS team across North America, fostering collaboration and accountability
Develop and own standard work for high-performing team inclusive of talent development, audit schedule and capability building
Attract and retain top EHS talent; manage medium to large teams with senior professional direct reports.
Interface with customers and contractors to communicate EHS performance, expectations, and compliance requirements.
Define and implement clear roles and responsibilities for the EHS field team to ensure consistency and efficiency.
Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses, driving corrective actions and knowledge sharing.
Oversee audits and assessments to maintain compliance and mitigate operational risks including maintaining quarterly audit program of wind farms and high risk work.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in the field of EHS or engineering.
15+ years of EHS leadership experience, ideally in renewable energy or industrial sectors.
Proven ability to lead distributed teams and influence across a matrix organization.
Strong analytical skills with experience leveraging data for decision-making.
Communicate complex messages and negotiate internally and externally to influence outcomes.
