Take direct responsibility for drafting responses to calls for proposals and coordinate funding requests submitted by desk units or field teams (notably in France)
Build and maintain partner relationships and ensure compliance with accountability requirements
Contribute to the association's fundraising strategy by proposing initiatives and creating partnership opportunities tailored to prospects/partners and Médecins du Monde's funding charter, both for prospecting and retention
Research, identify, qualify and catalogue potential prospects
Implement regional action plans (France) in collaboration with a team member and regional teams
Monitor the approach strategy for major prospects and propose improvements
Contact and meet (including in-person) prospects and partners in meetings and at internal or external events
Manage and negotiate agreements with partners
Liaise with the legal department on contractual matters and with program teams for reporting and monitoring commitments
Foster strong partnership relationships and facilitate internal working groups
Manage the creation, updating and dissemination of communication materials (brochures, reports, social media…)
Participate in various department projects; contribute to events, public relations and donor retention activities, and handle a range of files according to current needs and urgencies
Requirements
General university degree (Master's level, BAC+5)
At least 5 years' experience in private fundraising, including CSR, is required; ideally in France and in the humanitarian/solidarity sector
Proven experience managing and nurturing private funders/donors based in France
Good knowledge of and interest in the commercial private sector
Autonomy / ability to work independently
Strong interest in business development and prospecting
