Act as a primary liaison between business stakeholders, customer domain SMEs, and technical teams
Facilitate workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and domain deep-dives with finance and capital markets teams
Translate complex business needs into functional requirements, data models, and process flows
Leverage finance and capital markets domain knowledge to validate requirements, ensure business alignment, and identify gaps
Support use cases across trading, risk, compliance, asset management, regulatory reporting, and financial analytics
Analyze and profile large volumes of structured and unstructured financial data
Document business rules, KPIs, and reporting requirements for modern data platforms
Collaborate with Data Engineering teams on ETL/ELT pipelines, medallion architectures, data lakes, and warehouses
Work closely with engineering teams on cloud-based modernization initiatives (AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, etc.)
Assist in migration from legacy platforms to modern data platforms, ensuring business continuity and data integrity
Participate in solution validation, UAT, and ensure alignment with business outcomes
Define data quality rules, validation checks, and contribute to data governance frameworks
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards

8–12 years of total experience in Business Analysis / Data Analysis roles
Minimum 5+ years in Finance and Capital Markets domain (trading, investment banking, asset management, risk & compliance)
Minimum 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Modernization initiatives with modern cloud-based data platforms
Strong experience in Finance & Capital Markets (trading, investment banking, asset management, risk & compliance)
Ability to engage confidently with customer domain SMEs
Strong background in data engineering concepts (data modeling, data pipelines, metadata management)
Experience in data modernization projects on cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Synapse, Redshift, etc.)
Hands-on with SQL, Python (for data analysis), BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik)
Proven ability to drive business discussions, document requirements, and present solutions
Experience in large, complex transformation programs
Strong communication, problem-solving, and executive presentation skills
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Data Analytics, or related field.
Certifications in Finance/Capital Markets (e.g., CFA, FRM) or Cloud/Data Platforms (AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks)
