Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements supporting SS&C Health’s business lines, including contracts with healthcare providers, payers, third party administrators, pharmacy benefit managers, pharmacy networks, and other industry partners
Lead contract negotiations with clients, vendors, and strategic partners, covering agreements such as services, SaaS, software licensing, non-disclosure, and data privacy (including BAAs), from both provider and customer perspectives
Support legal and contractual needs throughout the full sales cycle, including Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs)
Provide timely, practical legal guidance to internal stakeholders in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment
Advise on commercial, public sector, compliance, and corporate matters while identifying opportunities to improve processes and standardize templates
Build strong cross-functional relationships and collaborate effectively across the organization
Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to at least one state bar
2+ years of experience drafting and negotiating high-volume commercial and transactional contracts, including services, SaaS, and software license agreements involving intellectual property and data privacy
Working knowledge of data privacy and security requirements, including healthcare regulations such as HIPAA
Must have experience with healthcare and pharmacy benefits management contracting
Experience with Medicaid, Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D, Medigap, EGWP, SNPs, PACE, CHIP, ACA, and other government sponsored health plan contracting and/or regulations is a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present, advise, and collaborate across stakeholders.
