Maintain MKS EHS standards, principles, and procedure in compliance with corporate requirements, local regulations and standardize and integrate all activities on the site with best practice of EHS.
Plan and execute EHS awareness such as safety leadership workshop, safety culture trainings to all employees, Life saving rules (LSR) and critical/high risk heads up, and corporate requirements.
Communicate the HSE requirements, rules, and topics to improve safety, health, and environmental practice as per Atotech requirements.
Coordinate and communicate MKS standards, and requirements to all stakeholders such as contractors, and visitors.
Develop and analyze the training requirement for MKS’s staff related to EHS competency using appropriate methodology such as Training Need Analysis, and Training Matrix.
Plan and manage Safety Training for both internal and external customers (if required) to understand related MKS’s safety SOPs, requirements in safety alerts/reminders clearly with active respond.
Establish, and maintain the legal register for MKS’s Business and activity.
Support Global Regulatory Monitoring Team through monthly reporting on the latest EHS development of laws and regulations.
Develop and advise management team on the improvement plan to comply with non-conformance and latest gazette laws related to EHS.
Support compliance and industries standard such as RBA and Green Procurement.
Register and maintain the permit, approval, and license for MKS in MASTER as required.
Coordinate with permit owner and ensure the permit, license, and approval valid and timely renewed as per local regulations.
Update status of the current license, permit and approval in the MASTER reporting on monthly basis.
Advise management team on the current status of the license, permit, and approval and further course of action in case of non-conformance detected.
Conduct risk assessment, advocate feasible risk control measures to process owner, and follow up on the executions by reducing the risk to low or acceptable level.
Establish accident prevention and control measures. Conduct workplace inspection on frequent basis, coordinate management workplace inspection, and timely close all findings from inspections and non-conformance via discussion and improvement plan with relevant function HoDs.
Support MKS’s Project Management through relevant risk mitigation assessments such as MOC, PSSR, HAZOP, FMEA and change management methodology.
Review and approve all high-risk activities on site including maintenance, and facility management such Work Permit, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Method Statement and Lifting Plan.
Established and maintained the ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. Ensure the integrated management system (IMS) up to date with current international standards.
Coordinate Internal Audit, and closely follow up, and timely close all findings and non-conformance. Ensure all procedure, SOP, and documentation information up to date as per global instructions, and practice.
Support ww EHS and execute all requirements for Global Certification program.
Support all functions issue related product safety such RoHS, REACH, California 69, other relevant chemical compliance standards.
Review all customer request related to product safety and green procurement and take necessary actions including liaison with ww Product Safety Team.
Support Operational team for the Dangerous Good Regulations and related standards for shipping.
Coordinate and ensure on-site waste management (solid, liquid and hazardous waste). Overview and ensure discharge of scrubber and waste effluent within the standards and report the non-conformance to management.
Establish relevant EHS program such as PPE, RA, Medical Surveillance, Confined Space, and LOTO etc. Support and coordinate corporate EHS Program on-site such as the world day for safety, and environmental day.
Act as secretary for Crisis Management Team and coordinate crisis mitigation action with relevant functions. Ensure business and operational continuity through providing relevant information from authorities. Manage and coordinate all security measure on-site.
Handle day to day security guard personnel, activity, and pertaining matter related to on-site security management.
Requirements
Minimum Degree in Science / Chemistry with at least 8 –10 years’ experience in EHS field
Familiar and knowledgeable in Malaysia Occupational Safety and Health Laws, Environmental Laws, and relevant laws on plant operations.
At least trained person from National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).
Green book holder.
Familiar with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 Management System
Familiar with Dangerous Goods Regulations
Certified Environmental Professional in Scheduled Waste Management (CePSWaM)
Knowledgeable and understand scrubber and wastewater operations, and standard of discharge.
Effective communication and ability to liaison with authorities relevant to business and plant operations.
Ability to assess the risk, mitigate the risk, and provide feasible solution to Management team on EHS issues and operational activities.
