Lead technology enablement across the clinical development lifecycle— study design, start‑up, execution, close‑out, and submission —with a strong focus on speed, quality, and scalability
Embed patient‑centric, site‑centric, and investigator‑centric design across clinical platforms
Provide strategic and operational leadership for core clinical development platforms , including CTMS, EDC, eTMF, RTSM, eCOA, site payments, and investigator engagement solutions
Drive integration across clinical, safety, regulatory, and data platforms to ensure end‑to‑end visibility and interoperability
Champion modern product management practices to continuously improve usability, performance, and adoption by study teams
Establish a unified clinical data and analytics ecosystem enabling real‑time trial insights, operational transparency, and predictive decision‑making
Leverage AI, automation, and advanced analytics to improve protocol feasibility, enrollment forecasting, site performance, and risk‑based trial oversight
Enable access to high‑quality clinical and real‑world data to support development strategy and regulatory interactions
Partner closely with Clinical Operations, Study Management, and Medical Monitoring leaders to optimize trial execution and reduce cycle times
Modernize study start‑up, site activation, enrollment, and monitoring workflows to improve predictability and execution excellence
Scale global capabilities that support decentralized, hybrid, and innovative trial models
Act as a trusted technology partner to Global Development leadership, co‑shaping strategy, priorities, and investment decisions
Translate Clinical Development needs into scalable technology capabilities and measurable business outcomes
Represent technology in senior governance forums, influencing cross‑functional roadmaps and funding decisions
Lead financial management, portfolio planning, and program governance for the Global Development technology organization
Track value realization through metrics such as cycle‑time reduction, cost efficiency, quality improvement, and study performance outcomes
Ensure predictable, high‑quality delivery across a global, matrixed organization
Identify and scale innovation through partnerships with vendors, start‑ups, and ecosystem partners focused on clinical development transformation
Bring external benchmarks and industry best practices into strategy and execution to continuously evolve the development operating model
Requirements
Master’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or a related field
15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience in biotech R&D, with a strong preference for Clinical Development and Clinical Operations environments
Proven experience leading large, global, matrixed organizations within complex enterprise settings
Demonstrated expertise in applying advanced technologies (e.g., AI/ML, cloud platforms, agentic) to accelerate clinical development outcomes
Strong ability to define, shape, and deliver complex initiatives end‑to‑end, working collaboratively across business, technology, and external partners
Exceptional leadership, analytical, and problem‑solving skills, with a track record of sound judgment and decision‑making in high‑impact environments
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex clinical and technical concepts for senior and diverse audiences
Experience with Agile and product‑centric delivery models, process engineering, and rapid experimentation or prototyping strongly preferred
Willingness to travel approximately 25% internationally and domestically to support global development partnerships.
