Role Overview
Serve as the strategic lead for a complex, large public sector account
Own the renewal strategy and drive long-term account plans aligned to client goals and organizational objectives
Build strategic relationships and adapt messaging to influence decision-makers
Navigate high-stakes negotiations and provide timely insights that guide both client and internal decisions
Manage complex accounts to drive results and meet sales and retention targets
Guide cross-functional collaboration to align priorities and deliver client value
Lead long-term client relationships with a deep understanding of goals, priorities, and internal dynamics
Serve as the primary advisor, build trust through tailored, outcome-focused solutions
Communicate clearly and adaptably across clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders
Quickly assess complex or ambiguous situations to identify root causes, evaluate risks, and develop forward-thinking solutions
Requirements
7+ years of experience in client-facing roles; healthcare benefits or consulting experience strongly preferred
Bachelor’s degree preferred
MBA or other advanced degrees preferred
Proven success in managing complex client relationships and driving strategic outcomes through consultative engagement
Strong business and financial acumen
Ability to assess risk, identify opportunities and influence results
Skilled at leading complex client conversations, influencing stakeholders and delivering difficult messages with professionalism and confidence
Strong internal collaboration skills and experience guiding cross-functional efforts
Executive presence with exceptional relationship-building skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to simplify complexity and tailor messaging to various audiences
Highly organized with strong project management skills
Adept at managing multiple priorities in dynamic environments
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other business tools
Willingness to travel up to 15% to support client relationships and business priorities
