Responsible for the development of product/market strategies for new and existing product lines.
Obtains, analyzes, and communicates relevant marketplace information to internal and external constituencies.
Owns and is accountable for the product development strategy of the assigned lines/segments of business.
Drives technological solutions as part of the portfolio.
Key participant setting strategy and portfolio direction with measurable financial goals.
Engages with internal and external parties to ensure compliance with regulations.
Contributes to product management strategies and tactics by providing detailed analysis of various offering components.
Develops and mentors staff, operating in a culture of high performance.
Requirements
BA/BS required or MBA preferred
10+ years of related business experience, preferably in the financial services industry in sales, marketing, risk management and/or product/market development
Exhibits strong leadership skills, including the ability to effectively partner, problem solve and influence all levels of the organization
Knowledge of principles and practices of the Insurance market
Ability to manage a product line
Strong analytical and project management skills
Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal for various audience size and product knowledge
Must be a strategic thinker but able to execute at the tactical level.
