This position will serve as resource for data center operations and the data center management program framework derived from the Information Technology Infrastructure Library ensuring industry best practice of Lincoln owned and leased data center facilities.
They will ensure the proper and efficient planning for the installation of critical hardware in data centers, perform capacity planning analysis and reporting of consumption of the horizontal and vertical space; power and cooling against capacity forecasting growth to meet the organization’s changing demands and impact to budget.

Serves as a resource to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on more complex assignments/projects for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Identifies and recommends process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Consults/Analyze on more complex assignments and/or projects for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Ensures all of Lincoln data center systems and business critical IT infrastructure is 100% available.
Reports on the consumption of horizontal/vertical space; power and cooling against capacity.
Produces and maintains data center and co-location documentation and reports that clearly articulate technical designs, issues and constraints, procedures, and network assessments.
Assists with the plans and deploys infrastructure security measures in collaboration with IT Security.
Proactively ensures more complex events are completed in a timely manner.
Manages data center operations for all of Lincoln’s physical tier-3 data centers and physical IT infrastructure in Lincoln key cities.
Provides oversight on third-party hosting operations by ensuring Lincoln’s best interests are foremost in consideration both in negotiation and execution.
Designs and implements plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements.
Collaborates effectively with appropriate internal and/or external stakeholders on issues and conflicts that impact time, cost, service, scope, and quality.
Develops new best practices that will reduce unscheduled downtime, improve operations, reliability, and/or efficiency.
Recommends, implements, and maintains procedures and associated training plans for data center administration.
Manages project lifecycle and more complex technical and operational risks and issues for smaller projects that are not led by the Project Management Organization.
Works effectively with peers and associates across the technology organization.
Stay abreast of industry trends and new technologies related to cooling, power, security & monitoring systems and floor layout.
Proposes new standards based on new technology.
