Recruit traveling electricians willing to work major commercial and industrial construction projects on an hourly wage plus per diem basis.
Source journeymen and apprentice electricians nationally using job boards, referrals, social media, trade networks, and direct outreach.
Build and maintain a nationwide bench of travel-ready electricians open to out-of-state, multi-week or multi-month project assignments.
Screen candidates for electrical trade experience, availability for travel, and comfort with per diem compensation structures.
Clearly communicate job details including project location, duration, hourly pay rates, per diem amounts, work schedules, housing expectations, travel requirements, and overtime opportunities.
Verify licensing, certifications, OSHA training, and trade qualifications based on project and jurisdiction requirements.
Coordinate onboarding and compliance documentation for traveling electricians including I-9, background checks, drug screens, and safety orientation.
Partner with operations and account teams to forecast electrician demand for upcoming projects and mobilizations.
Serve as the primary point of contact prior to dispatch to ensure clarity on expectations and reduce early assignment fallout.
Maintain communication with electricians while on assignment to improve retention and redeployment.
Track availability, skill sets, and project history in the ATS/CRM to enable rapid redeployment.
Requirements
Fluency in English and Spanish
No previous staffing/recruiting experience required
Must be able to manage high levels of activity and multiple demands
Must be highly organized with excellent time-management skills
Must have positive attitude and ambition to grow in staffing and recruiting
Excellent computer skills and ability to learn new software
Must have a commitment to excellence
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
