Works closely with the Chief Legal officer and manages a team.
Develops EEI's legal, policy, and litigation positions on state and federal matters.
Provides legal support and collaborates closely with other departments within EEI.
Serves as a senior legal lead on priority EEI member initiatives projects.
Guides legal strategy and policy responses to major federal and state regulatory actions.
Manages policy-related litigation matters including administrative litigation.
Coordinates closely with the EEI Environment team on issues related to sustainability.
Monitors and assesses emerging legal, regulatory, and policy trends impacting the electric sector.
Engages directly with EEI members to understand operational, legal, and regulatory challenges.

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Active bar membership in good standing (D.C. Bar or eligibility for admission).
15+ years of progressively responsible legal experience or equivalent skills or knowledge.
At least 5 years of experience focused on clean energy, environmental, or regulatory law.
Demonstrated experience with major federal statutes impacting the electricity sector.
Strong understanding of utility law, energy markets, and regulatory frameworks affecting electric companies.
Exceptional legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
