Support the valuation of a wide range of personal property assets, including manufacturing and warehouse equipment, office furniture and fixtures, computer equipment and software, laboratory and testing equipment, vehicles, tooling, molds and dies, leasehold improvements, and construction-in-progress
Assist in executing machinery & equipment and personal property valuation engagements
Support virtual assessments to document asset condition, remaining useful life, and other key characteristics
Gather, organize, and analyze client data, including fixed asset registers and technical documentation
Build and maintain valuation models and financial analyses in Microsoft Excel
Conduct market and industry research to support assumptions related to pricing, depreciation, and obsolescence
Assist in preparing valuation reports, including methodologies, assumptions, and conclusions
Ensure work aligns with applicable standards such as US GAAP, FASB, SEC guidelines, and International Valuation Standards (IVS), as well as Crowe’s internal quality requirements
Participate in client calls and meetings, documenting key discussion points and follow-ups
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (audit, tax, corporate finance) on integrated engagements
Support proposal development through research, data compilation, and presentation preparation
Requirements
1–2 years of relevant experience in valuation, accounting, finance, engineering, or related fields (strong internship experience considered)
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial), Economics, or related discipline
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word
Basic understanding of valuation methodologies (cost, market, and income approaches) and asset lifecycle concepts (useful life, depreciation, obsolescence)
Interest in pursuing professional valuation certifications (e.g., ASA, RICS, or equivalent)
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a team environment
Willingness to travel (as required) for site inspections and client engagements
