Providing advice on global privacy and data protection laws in all global jurisdictions
Verifying compliance with privacy and data protection regulations
Leading initiatives and providing consultative advice on privacy and data protection matters
Supporting the implementation of FIS’ privacy and data protection compliance program
Educating and training FIS personnel on privacy, cybersecurity, and data protection
Assisting in monitoring compliance with applicable laws and FIS’ policies
Managing personal data breaches and ensuring timely handling of data subject requests
Requirements
Minimum of 8-10+ years in the practice of law in a high-quality law firm or in-house environment
Strong analytical and advisory skills
Ability to review and evaluate multi-faceted issues and counsel business colleagues on complex legal questions
Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing
Strong negotiation and deal-making skills
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, colleagues and opposing counsel
Ability to mentor others in their professional legal development
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Comfort with technology and the use of technology tools in performing daily work responsibilities
Juris Doctorate degree required
