Provide leadership in the continued development, expansion, and execution of BerryDunn’s healthcare outsourced accounting services, including contributing to service strategy, pricing models, and business planning
Serve as a primary client relationship leader for HC-OAS engagements, acting as a trusted advisor to healthcare organizations on accounting, finance, and operational matters
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of professionals dedicated to healthcare outsourced accounting services, including coaching, performance management, workload planning, and professional development
Oversee and actively participate in the delivery of healthcare outsourced accounting services, including general ledger oversight, month-end close processes, financial statement preparation, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and review of balance sheet reconciliations
Provide oversight of outsourced accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, and internal controls support
Review and interpret financial results with client leadership teams, translating financial information into actionable insights and recommendations
Collaborate closely with BerryDunn’s broader Outsourced Accounting Services (OAS) team to align resources, share best practices, and enhance consistency and quality of service delivery
Build healthcare-specific accounting knowledge across the OAS team, including reimbursement considerations, regulatory compliance impacts, and industry benchmarks
Participate in client proposals, presentations, and business development efforts related to healthcare outsourced accounting services
Provide consultative support to healthcare clients, including financial feasibility analysis, process improvement initiatives, and optimization of financial operations
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
Active CPA license
10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with significant experience in outsourced accounting and/or advisory services
Demonstrated experience managing complex client relationships and leading client-service teams
Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple concurrent engagements
Ability to analyze financial information, identify issues, and provide practical, strategic solutions
Experience communicating effectively with clients, including facilitating meetings and presenting to leadership groups
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment

Preferred: Hospital and/or other healthcare accounting experience (reimbursement, close, reconciliations, audit readiness, and reporting cadence)
