About this role
Role Overview
Provide scientific information, present and promote the respective AbbVie products to office-based specialists and hospital specialists in compliance with §76 of the German Medicines Act (AMG) “Duties of the Pharmaceutical Representative”
Implement the brand strategy
Conduct market analysis using available data: analyze the regional market regarding sales development of own products and competitors, identify opportunities and critical trends
Design, coordinate and implement a territory plan within the infield team
Deliver competent customer management, i.e. actively advise physicians, pharmacists and, where appropriate, healthcare organizations
Design, organize and deliver continuing education events and attend regional and national events
Build and expand networks between hospitals, office-based physicians and other stakeholders who play a key role in patient care
Collect market information and customer insights; determine the customer’s position in the sales cycle
Communicate proactively with the Regional Manager
Professional reporting: timely and proper completion of all administrative tasks
Collaborate effectively within the infield team and across functions
Promote open communication and continuous exchange of experience and ideas
Proactively and continuously advocate for customer needs
Share responsibility for achieving regional targets
Comply with all applicable functional, legal and regulatory requirements, including procedures and policies on ethics and compliance and the “Code of Business Conduct”
Requirements
University degree in a scientific discipline, pharmaceutical representative training, or required expertise in accordance with §75 of the German Medicines Act
Basic GxP knowledge
Experience working in an infield team and in accountable interdisciplinary project leadership in a matrix organization
Solid knowledge of the therapy area
Several years of field sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry with demonstrably above-average sales success desirable, ideally within the therapy area
Ability to present complex scientific issues appropriately for the target audience and discuss them with different customer groups
Strong persuasion skills, confident presenter with strong closing ability and excellent communication skills (Challenger methodology)
High capacity to continuously adapt to changing market conditions and to proactively and innovatively align work methods accordingly
High motivation and energy to pursue and achieve targets
Excellent performance management to continuously optimize sales target achievement
Strong digital competence and proficient use of field applications (Veeva CRM and CLM, XPM, WebEx, etc.) as well as MS Office
Strong analytical skills combined with creativity
Pioneering spirit and pronounced drive for success, including a commitment to personal development within the company
Flexibility, willingness to travel and team spirit
Very good German and good English language skills
