Role Overview
- Audit records to ensure proper submission of services prior to submitting claims to payers
- Provide correct ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes on all claims
- Provide correct CPT codes for all DME procedures and services performed
- Submit claims to payers using HCFA forms
- Determine that the diagnosis and procedures stated by the physician or other health care providers are valid and complete
- Maintain compliance standards in accordance with Compliance policies and report any issues appropriately
- Accurately follow coding guidelines and legal requirements to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
- Complete HCFA forms and submit them to payers
- Follow up on EOBs to determine reasons for denials
- Provide high-level customer service to both internal and external clients
- Demonstrate performance aligned with WRS guiding principles, including caring, collaboration, trustparency, and innovation
Requirements
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to function independently
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work independently and solve problems
- Experience with ICD-10 coding and CPT codes
- Experience completing HCFA forms
